We’re Experienced!

Founded by a UC Berkeley trained mathematician, all Nerdtastic Math Tutors have years of experience tutoring and mentoring students of all ages, from kindergartners to retirees. Some of our current and former students attend Bishop Miege HS, Rockhurst HS, UMKC and Olathe, Shawnee Mission, KCMO, Lee's Summit & Blue Valley Unified public schools.

We’re Fun!

Math is fun... No, REALLY! Stop laughing. I'm totally serious. Okay, okay, maybe learning math isn't as much fun as, say, naked skateboarding off of the back of a golf cart, but it doesn't have to be boring. And it certainly shouldn't make you cry. Do math with Nerdtastic and punch that stoopid math class in the face!

All Math! All Ages!

Nerdtastic Math Tutors can tutor you in any math topic covered in the K-12 curriculum and undergraduate college mathematics courses. Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus and beyond? We can help! Not only that, it doesn’t matter how old *you* are! We tutor traditional students, homeschool students, adults pursuing independent study, retirees returning to school, and everybody in between!

We’re Popular Too!

We give the best high fives ever and my mom thinks we’re awesome. You will too, I promise. LOL! Yeah right! Like you have any reason to believe me. I’m supposed to say that! You don’t have to take my word for it, check out our reviews from current and former students on Yelp and Facebook.

First Step

If you’re interested in getting a Nerdtastic Math Tutor to help you punch your math class in the face, send me (The Danielle!) an email with the following information:

• Name and contact info
• What class you’re taking, a little about your math background, and what you’re hoping to get out of tutoring.
• Preferred meeting time and location. See above for current availability.
• Your favorite flavor of ice cream (I’ve been digging on Ben & Jerry's EMPOWERmint lately myself).
• Any special circumstances you’d like us to know about.

I'll get back to you as soon as I can to go over your goals and to schedule an introductory appointment.

Our Tutors

Danielle Stanton

University of California, Berkeley
My name's Danielle. The Danielle if you're feeling saucy. Hi. I've been tutoring since my parents decided I should be the one to help my four little sisters with their algebra homework. I started tutoring professionally in 2009. I grew up in Southern California, and I recently relocated to Minnesota from the San Francisco Bay Area via Kansas City. In December 2013 I graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a Teaching Concentration. Which kinda bums me out, mostly because after you get your degree they don't let you go to class anymore. As of August 2016, I'm getting a master's in math at University of Minnesota! Here's my resume iffin yer interested.

This is Ben. Ben is Danielle's dog. Ben can't do math. So what's he doing here in the "Our Tutors" section? Well, I'll tell you. Time to fess up. Nerdtastic only has one tutor right now. Me. Danielle. All this nonsense about "us" all over this webpage is wishful thinking at the moment. But the Nerdtastic Tutoring Empire will be built! We will bring mathematics to the masses! Resistance is futile! (Ben doesn't have a resume. And if he did it would be really really short.)
